Saturday’s clash between Brighton and Hove Albion and Southampton at the Amex Stadium saw manager Ralph Hasenhuttl pick up his first three points of the 2019/20 Premier League campaign.

Having been aided by the hosts going down to ten men following the sending off of Florin Andone, although the game was pretty level in reality, we made the advantage count after the half time restart as summer signing Moussa Djenepo opened the scoring ten minutes into the second period.

It took Southampton a while to add to their advantage, but Nathan Redmond made it 2-0 in stoppage time.

Statistics website Whoscored gave 25-year-old Redmond their star man award with a player rating of 8.25.

Completing the top five on the day were Djenepo (7.78), Jannik Vestergaard (7.76), goalkeeper Angus Gunn (7.29) and Jan Bednarek (7.19).

Extra mentions for James Ward-Prowse and Sofiane Boufal who also got seven plus scores as we showed further improvement and grabbed the win.
